It is slightly sheer as befits this type of garment so you will need underwear underneath if you plan on wearing it in public - remember Zhongyi means “middle garment”.
As stated, the sizing is Asian, so if in doubt go up. It’s the only way broad shoulders and a deep chest will be able to get the garment to give you the ease you need across the back and for the collar to cross and lay properly on the front. You can always deepen a seam or throw in a dart if a garment is too big, but you can’t really make something too small bigger.
